The Journey to Faeblight

Greetings members of The Covenant Guild!

The leaders would like to thank all the members of The Covenant who joined us on the journey to Faeblight. We appreciate the effort and loyalty of the members who particularly have to rename their character just to join the guild.

We have anticipated losing most or all of the members during the transition period but we are willing to take the risk. Anybody who will follow the guild must be somehow happy with how the leaders handle the guild.

The guild has become so big in number to the point were we haven't even had the chance to chat with some of the members. Everybody was on his own, seldom you will see someone who will greet or congratulate a member. Nobody was offering help. Most level 50, who grew with the guild, are all too busy about raiding. Most members are quiet until a guild problem arises and some members, instead of helping with the problem, will all of a sudden participate and add up to the chaos.

The guild was not the guild we have hope it should be. We had to do something.

Instead of weeding out members who are not active anymore and those who do not live up to the guild's expectations, we decided to transfer to Faeblight. We did not force any member to join us. We did not promise anything in return if members decide to join us. We took the risk of losing most of the members and start rebuilding the guild in Faeblight with the hope of recruiting members who can live up to what the guild is all about.

The Covenant Guild

The Covenant is a solemn oath between the guild and the members who adheres to mutual philosophy of honor, loyalty, working together, and cheerfulness. The guild do not promise anything except you will have a home and a group of members with high personal values and respect.

Members who will never make fun of you for your mistake or for being a new player.
Members who have the patience to shrug a wipe and still have fun.
Members who are matured and respectful.
Members who are generally nice and willing to help.

We believe this should be the foundation of our guild. Everything will come into place such us dungeon grouping, crafting, rifts, raiding, etc. This way we will not be just a group aiming to get what we want as an individual but a group aiming to get what we want while having fun with guild members.

The Members

The Covenant Guild consist of casual, friendly, fun loving, mature, and helpful members.

Casual meaning they prioritize real life events rather than in-game events. Members who achieve more in real life than in an online game. We discourage members to join the guild who can play more than 12 hours daily.

Friendly means greeting members and congratulating members if they achieve something.

Mature means not having to cuss or swear if they encounter difficulties in-game or a simple misunderstanding with guild members.

Offering help, whenever you can, is what The Covenant Guild is all about. Offering help is highly encouraged and is mandatory to high ranking members of the guild. Reaching 50 is a good start to offer help. Being helpful means after you reach 50, you do not leave your low level guild mates, raid until you get stressed out, and then move on to another game after maximizing your character's gear.

Helping guild members whenever you can is the end game content of being in The Covenant Guild.

Raiding

The Covenant Guild is a wholesome guild.

We encourage role-playing, socializing, questing, crafting, pvp, and all content of the game which makes our member happy.

The Covenant is not a raiding guild and is not focused on one theme only.

We will be on the look out for raid leader candidates. We will have a raiding team again if we find someone in the guild who are willing to take the stress and pressure of leading a raid team. Until then, the guild will raid with an established raiding guild.

Communication

The guild chat is our main form of communication plus the new guild wall feature.

Please keep these forms of communication clean, fun, friendly, and respectful. Excessive behaviors such as swearing, trolling, whining, bragging, etc. are not allowed.

Most of the guild members do not wish to talk in Vent and want to listen only. If we ever get a Vent again it will be used only for raiding. However, we plan to join another guild who already have Vent.

RP-PvE Faeblight

On this shard the guild will not have a hard time implementing the rule of no swearing in guild chat since RP shards have more strict rules and majority of players in it adheres to the rules.

Here are some of what you are expected to do on a RP (role-playing) shard. These are more of a suggestions or expectations and not a guild rule or requirement.

Stay in character in /say, /yell, in emotes, or any other channel used for roleplaying.

This means no discussion of real life events or people in these areas. Players should also take the time to spell out words and phrases. Refrain from using internet jargon and acronyms such as "lol" or "pwn".

An example of what is to be expected on a role playing server, using a pirate theme based character:

Ahoy mateys! Ya'll never guess what loot was that ol' witch packin' into the treasure chest

All beak and no bite as usual Salty, spill the beans or take a walk down the plank!
Also, an example of what is NOT acceptable in a role playing server:
rofl guys i just pwned 5 nubs in stv
ORLY?
yarly!

Maintain a positive atmosphere for roleplaying.

Harassment of other players is never tolerated.

"The Covenant Guild is about the journey not the end game. Having fun is found not finishing the game but doing the things you love along the way." ~ Arathi ~
